Disc 1 & 2 : Pittsburgh, PA, 06 mai 2001
Editor notes :I removed the clicks between tracks 4 and 5 and between I Will Follow and Sunday Bloody Sunday on Disc 1. Disc 2 contained clicks between most of the tracks, 'cept maybe the first two tracks (I don't remember). I had to reindex all of disc 2 due to the clicks between the tracks (I probably should have done a better job indexing Streets, since it seems to start before the track marker . . . sue me). I feel people editing these shows might want to take precautions when using Cool Edit. I've been told (but can't confirm) some versions of this
program places clicks around track markers.
Bass, treble, and overall volume has been enhanced. Stereo width has been increased as well. The song "Stay" now sounds almost soundboard in quality. The guitar during that track sounds extremely clear now. There is some very mild hiss during this track, but it's barely noticeable. If you're curious about the quality of this show, Stay is the track to listen to. Seek to the middle of the track and listen to the guitar. Amazing clarity for an audience recording . . .
The person who originally edited this show normalized each track separately. This may account for why you can hear music at one volume, and then the crowd can be heard at an abnormally low volume (although, apparently, the crowd was quiet during some parts of the show--so this may be normal).
There's a couple of instances of strange things happening with volume changes in this show (I didn't bother fixing this. Clicks between the tracks
were my biggest concern). Also, you can hear a weird transition from The Sweetest Thing into the band introductions (again, perhaps this was
due to volume normalization). |
