With the breaking news from the day before the show, that the Finance Ministers of the G7 countries had reached agreement on extending debt relief to the poorest countries, the band is in a party mood, playing a great show in front of a 60.000 people strong and rocking crowd. Because the Arena auf Schalke has a rooftop, the atmosphere is very intimate and familiar.

Billy Corgan, Wim Wenders and german rock star Herbert Groenemeyer, who has worked with Bono in his campaigning against poverty in Africa, are some of the special guests at tonights show.

Awesome audience recording from the Schalke show. Both music and vocals are very clear and have a great punch. At several times, you can hear some clappings / voices located near the taper. But this doesn't effect the amazing qualitaty of this recording.
