DVD 1 (1 - 12) : Outside it's America Documentary, MTV Broadcast, January 1st, 1988.
DVD 1 (13 - 23) : World in Action, Anthem for the 80's Documentary, ITV Broadcast, August 1987.
This DVD have 2 parts:
- The first one called Outside it's America is about U2's life in the US deserts during The Joshua Tree Tour.
- The second one called World in Action, Anthem for the 80's try to link some songs to the life in Ireland.
Outside it's America The first part is interesting because there's no journalist speaking. Only one camera which film U2. We can see the band in the backstage, on the road, in the pub, etc. There's also the unreleased In God's country clip. This is an original report.
The second part is more ... boring. The report try to make us know than U2 inspire the Irish society and the way the band inspire themself of this irish society. In a point of view, it's interesting but the problem is the form used to do it. It's really boring ! The live songs are cut by many interventions which are not really usefull (like a group of U2 Fans get blind drunk). It's pitty it may be an interesting report making U2 a band who made us think. It's missed !
World in Action, Anthem for the 80's This report is for people collecting TV reports. Interesting in the first half it's less in the second one. With that if you add the fact that there are no subtitles, the purchase is not essential if you're not friendly with english language.
